Inspiration and Background
The inspiration for this collaboration was from seeing another Steemians work, and thinking of a way to creatively influence their work in a collaboration. I thought of @soundbath because of the unique minimalistic pieces of music he/she is putting out and abstract covers for them. I thought, could I contrast that and still have an inspiration for the minimalist, yoga, meditation-esque music?
I decided to take my camera with me on a walk, and produce a set of images. None related other than being urban, coming from that walk, and not trying to have as strong of balance as felt from @soundbath‘s music. Fairly straightforward, but what I found is different. I found so much perfection out there visually, that I needed to focus on details to see what really would stand out and perhaps throw an obstacle in the way of peaceful meditative music.
The second step was learning how @soundbath typically creates their art for the tracks and to mimic that so that they would have covers for the music they create for this project.
This post announced the start of the project and @soundbath will be loading the first track of several soon.
Here is how the adjusted images are changed from original to filtered.
There’s this low-poly, minimalistic idealism that comes with the images that I feel reflects closely to what @soundbath does in the art for their music.

Collaboration and Inspiration with @soundbath
Essentially, I messaged @soundbath on Discord. Was pleasantly surprised to find a kind Steemian who wanted to also collaborate. Starting right away on music, @soundbath told me that they loved the idea and were going to make something special. Drumroll!
The applications we used consisted of – Adobe Photoshop, camera, filter, and Dsound for music upload!
